The 1991 Infiniti M30 is a rear-wheel-drive personal luxury car built on the Nissan F31 platform, the same chassis as the Japanese-market Nissan Leopard. It uses a 3.0L VG30E SOHC V6 rated at 162 hp (net) at 6000 rpm and 180 lb-ft of torque, paired exclusively with a Jatco RE4R01A 4-speed automatic. For 1991 a two-door convertible joined the existing two-door coupe, with the soft-top conversions performed by American Sunroof Corporation (ASC). Mechanically the 1991 M30 carried over from the 1990 introduction.
