The 1970 Jeep Jeepster was the convertible model within the Jeepster Commando (C101) line built by Kaiser Jeep, riding a 101 inch wheelbase with part-time four-wheel drive. The standard engine was the F-head Hurricane 134 cubic inch inline-4 rated at 75 horsepower gross, with the Buick-derived Dauntless 225 cubic inch V6 optional at 160 horsepower gross. A three-speed manual was standard, and a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic was optional with the V6. The 1970 model year was a carryover within the 1967-1971 C101 generation and coincided with American Motors Corporation's acquisition of Kaiser Jeep in February 1970.
