The 1987 Lincoln Continental closed out the Fox-platform generation introduced for 1982, a bustleback sedan positioned between the Town Car and the Mark VII. Its fuel-injected 302 cubic inch (5.0 liter) V8 was rated 150 net horsepower. Self-leveling air suspension, standard since the 1984 model year, remained a signature feature.
