I had no use for the dash tray, and I didn't like the look of the screw holes in it, so I got a speaker grill from the JY, removed the speaker, and modified the top edge of the center stack panel. Most people try to modify the speaker grill, but most of them end up looking rough to me. My cut isn't necessarily any smoother, but it's not visible. I reinforced the guide holes before cutting them, because the speaker's tabs are spread wider than the tray's.
