I picked these up before I totalled my '99 P71, so it's time to install them. I scuffed the dark purple paint with a 2-grade sanding sponge, wiped it down with Acetone, shot a few coats of cheap gloss white on, let it dry overnight, then baked it for ~30min @ 225F. I think it'll be pretty close.
