I disconnected the drive cable before installing the new pedals, and it was much easier to get them into place than last time (on my '99). The BOO & cruise cancel switches were never unplugged - just removed from the brake assembly & reinstalled. The power wire to the switch (Bk/W) is soldered to the output wire (Y/LG) from the power window circuit breaker, and all 3 grounds go to the LCM bracket. I tapped the O/Bk wire coming out of the LCM & added a connector just in case. I haven't decided if I'll mount the switch, and if so, where. I might leave it loose so she can set it, then tuck it out of the way so no one changes it. But the wires are long enough to reach almost anywhere that I might want to put it.
