The air conditioning did work when I first got the truck, but within 4 months, it went dead (I suspect someone just stuck some freon into a leaky system just to sell the truck).
I was figuring on just yanking everything out to lighten things up a bit up front, but after one miserable trip through California's central valley on a hot 107°July afternoon, I quickly changed that tune lol. New compressor and flushing of the system, it now blows a chilly 38° using R-134a freon.
