2.9L EFI V6 (177CI), nothing real special here, it's all original.
The little 140 horse motor does an adequate job, thanks to deeper axle gears. No swap plans are currently in place at least until it's time is done. A 4.0L V6 is most likely to go in it's place when said time does come (which could be a ways off, the 2.9 still runs like it was new, still has excellent oil pressure, burns no oil (though the valve covers do seep a little onto the manifolds), and it'll get 22 MPG (hwy) too if I poke along at 55-60 or so. |
