The 2002 Toyota Sequoia is a full-size, body-on-frame SUV from the first generation (XK30/XK40 series), built in Princeton, Indiana on the platform shared with the first-generation Tundra pickup. Every 2002 Sequoia used the 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8 rated at 240 horsepower (net) and 315 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and offered in rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It was sold in SR5 and Limited trims with three rows of seating for up to eight passengers. The 2002 model year was a carryover of the design Toyota introduced for 2001 as its first full-size SUV for the North American market.
