I'm hoping to get into upgrading my 2004 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. I've gone through this site quite a bit looking for cool tips and such, and I have learned so much already (but of course, you can never learn enough).
Right now the only mods on my 04 CVPI is the sound system. I have 4 JL audio stock sized interior speakers, kenwood hd radio, a Rockford Fosgate 1500 watt amp and 2 12" Rockford Fosgate p3 'Punch' sub-woofers in a custom box in the trunk. I have a pretty nice JL audio amp on hold right now, going to set it up to power the interior speakers, which will (hopefully) free up a bit of power to go to my sub-woofers. The system is already loud enough to make it feel as though your throat is collapsing, but louder is ALWAYS better. Btw, a Mickey Shorr near my place was offering free install, so why work hard myself? lol
The only changes I've made to is performance wise are new spark plugs throughout, new cross member and sway bar link (snapped it in about 4 different places by hitting a curb.) and a Kevlar infused serpentine belt (the old one had some chunks ripped out of it, so I figured why not upgrade it for 30$ more?).
My PLANNED upgrades include a new cold air intake, a throttle body kit/spacer, a performance chip, 49 state 4 in exhaust, changing the gear ratios(to what, idk, that's part of why I'm here.) and some new tire (keeping the centercap rims cuz their BOSS). Possibly some high performance rotors and brakes. Maybe a high performance alternator?
Looks wise, I might get the gt concept front/rear bumpers because the paint is flaking off the ones I have now. Thinking about swapping to HID headlights and adding a few light strips (like the ones on the new Audi's).
