I have been a northeastern US resident all my life. I working for the US Census Bureau as a Statistician in Philadelphia, PA. and I volunteer for a lot of church activities. I( collect stamps and baseball cards and I try to get to the local car shows during the summer. I have owned a great variety of cars the 1970's. My favs were a 66 T-Bird, 70 Torino (2 different), 87 Caprice, 98 Monte Carlo and my current 99 Grand Marquis. I also owned a 66 Mustang, a 77 Electra 225, a 71 Galaxie Wagon and an 86 Grand Marquis. As you see I love big cruisers!
The worst I owned was between the 72 Duster and the 72 Vega. I never had a Pinto, but I did have 2 Mavericks which were okay when the carbs were working properly. They were the easiest cars to work on since they were pre-catalytic converter.
Likes: a classic subtle look, black sidewall tires (glad WW's are no longer in style), lots of instrumentation, esp. with white or carbon-fiber backing., a good monochrome gloss paint job (black, white, red or orange), dog dish hubcaps, baby moon hubcaps, classic chrome 5-spoke style wheels, a "sleeper" look, exhaust tips, front grill either polished chrome or black. Best factory wheels: Impala SS/Monte Carlo Z34 wheels from 1996-2004. Grand Marq or Crown Vic custom aluminum "spoke style" wheels from 2000.
Dislikes: loud graphics, big wings, wheels larger than 18 inches, cars that are toooo low, too much chrome, after market sound systems (unless you keep the original in place).
