My wife & I immigrated to Canada from southern England after WWII, and I became an auto mechanic. Two of our 3 daughters were born there. After some moving around, I was the race mechanic for Mike Dale's Austin-Healy bugeye Sprite, and in 1972, we won the championship. Mike went on to become president of MG USA, and later Jaguar USA, and I became the general manager of Bluff City British Cars in Memphis, TN, for some 27 years. I retired a few years ago, and now live just outside of Memphis. Due to recent health problems, I've sold off my entire car collection because I can't maintain or enjoy them any more.
