speaker.jpg 976 hits | 31.52 KB | Posted: 2003-06-29 Here is the Federal BP-100 speaker. This is the model of speaker they use in the Crown Vic police cruisers.
This is the perfect speaker to use for the Bronco, if you want to put in a powerful PA. This speaker weighs about 15 lbs, so it is not a trivial item. Some cutting is necessary to get this baby in, but fits perfectly. Any other speaker would require more cutting and mods to get it in the grill where it needs to be. If you do not grill mount a speaker this powerful, you will be sorry.... (Posted in: Pilgrim's Pride)
console.jpg 1162 hits | 40.79 KB | Posted: 2003-06-29 This is my constantly evolving console for my electronics. The unit at the top is a Federal PA-300 police siren/PA amplifier. It puts out 100 watts to the grill mounted BP-100 speaker. This baby is LOUD!!!!!!.
I have it hooked up to be an electronic air horn when the steering wheel horn switch is pressed, you know that fire truck horn sound that clears intersections?
Also I can amplify anything else through it, like the in dash, portable player, my ham radios, CB, etc., or I can do some preaching or political campaigns. It is also good for parades.
It is also good to clear all wildlife from a camping area, or anyone else for that matter!
Now for the CB. If I am out wheelin' with one of you it is a normal CB except it has SSB. The antenna is a Wilson 1000, which works great for a Bronco, pickup, or SUV.
What isn't shown is the WAAS GPS unit, where I can relay over the CB my exact co-ordinates if necessary to any of my good buddies out there to come winch me out, or pull me home.

MVC-028F.JPG 983 hits | 26.81 KB | Posted: 2003-06-29 4" kit installed and flares put on. This Rancho kit is really stiff. It was the right choice for me, because I sometimes put a 1/2 ton of tongue weight on when towing. Have you ever tried to tow 3 cords of wood down off the mountain before? I won't try it again!
Anyway, the added leaves should help considerably when towing.... (Posted in: Pilgrim's Pride)
