I ordered this Cyberdyne 2" Digital Tach with memory & FRPP Tach Driver from Summit for ~$140. I would have preferred a rectangular bezel & green 4-digit display, but neither was available.

Headrest Tool
If your seat does NOT have a hard back panel, you'll need a thin piece of steel to release the headrest. If you have the removeable back, take it off & release the headrest manually.

The purple wire is the RKE trigger for the trunk release; the orange is for a future outside temp sensor for the rear-view mirror; and wires were added to these connectors & run under the carpet for the FTP & CANV.

I just used some cheap flat black spray paint, but I might redo it someday. The sides of the plate wrap over the 2 verticals in the dash very well, so I'm going to try it without screws for a while.

Following the instruction, I loaded the cutter with grease to collect the majority of the shavings. It worked well, and the few that did fall into the cylinder will be cleaned out later.

I ordered 3 extra inserts so I could fix all 8 holes. Brian at Promar Engine was very patient & helpful. These are the 14mm x 1.25mm x 16.8mm inserts TimeSert PN 51459.

AutoDimming Rear View Mirror with compass & temperature. Includes mounting button, wire cover, temperature sensor, and ~1' of wire on each connector. Tested, and has no noticeable scratches on glass or housing.

I've collected a few cop PCMs to test when I get the engine installed, and I'll probably keep one spare & sell one.


Ultimately, I went with the '99 P71 ARA3. It has the sportiest ignition curves & shift points.
