The new filler neck has a 1/4-turn cap, an external vent line, a check valve at the bottom, and is bent VERY slightly differently at the top. But it still fits. The old one comes out the fuel door, and the new one...

I dropped the lower control arm front bolt & e-brake cables, tied the shock up, laid the caliper beside the gas tank, pulled the sway bar end link & disconnected it from the other one so the axle could droop enough to work the tailpipe in.

I'm a ham radio operator also and that is a Rad-Shack 2Meter/ Scanner antenna on trunk. Just purchased some nice commercial grade 2M and 150MHz with NMO mounts that will fit nicely in the 4 existing PD Ant. holes.

To make the gauge work with a real oil pressure sender, solder a jumper wire across the 20 Ohm resistor. I used a Wh/R wire because that's what the oil sender circuit is.

I pulled this from a '98 P71. It was nearly full of gas, so I figured it would be fairly clean inside. I was wrong. But I did get all the emissions stuff I was after, including the CANV, FTP, & enough wiring to get me into my trunk for splicing.

The OEM switch is located in the glove box on my '98 P71. Later model Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis received a relocated traction control button on the dash. Pictured here is the OEM switch and it's harness.
