The X is a hunting machine and works great on the trails of northern Minnesota:
During the winter time of course, the salt takes over:
And she can clean up nicely for the times when she's a street queen:
Getting her detailed tomorrow, can't wait to see how shiny it gets!!

Well, I guess a little of both for me. Mine sits in my shop most of the time. My wife drives her car to work and I have a company pu I drive most of the time. The X gets driven every other week or so. It is almost always clean for the most part, just dusty from sitting there. But, I do love to hook up a loaded trailer, put in a good CD, crank it up and cruuuuuuz on down the highway as if it (the trailer) was not even there. If the weather does get bad, snow/ice we will take it of we happen to go somewhere. It does not bother me to get it dirty or use it though. |

If I didn't think the Ex was good looking I wouldn't have one. My Ex sits in the garage most of the time. I did put 2k miles on it in two weeks over Christmas vacation. It goes to the car wash about every 6 weeks or so. I'm not afraid of a littlefun. I did go offroading in it, Had lots of fun. The evidence is there, a bent running board and bent transfer case skid plate. I was able to straighten out the running board but the skid plate is a little stiffer.

My Ex is my daily driver. I get a kick out of watching the employees' faces at the car wash. It barely fits and then takes two guys to wipe it down. I doesn't go offroad so stays pretty clean. I detail the interior on my own. Maquire's makes a great leather wipe product. Pull out a sheet, touch up your leather and throw it away! I plan on taking an afternoon (all day?) this spring to hand wax the beast. On weekends it hauls four Pembroke Welsh Corgis (medium dogs) to the farm to herd sheep and to dog shows all over the Northwest. I can stack their crates in the back so all four fill the rear end when I pop the barn doors open. When the weather warms up I'll tow a camper to the shows for the weekend and take the whole crew of canines. Can't wait. |

Tink gets her fair share of crapy weather , salt, mud, dust, and whatever.
She does every little thing I want and more with no complaints. In the winter she's filthy dirty and in the spring, summer and fall she generaly gets a waxing at least every couple of weeks. In the winter its a wash every week. I once had to wash her just to see what the real color is. The most favourite thing I like to do is put 12 foot 2x4's in and close the "barn doors". Never been able to do that with anything else I've owned. Tink is a stealth mobile, she drives quietly and tows a big stick. When you lower and remove the rear seats, you put the barn in one corner, the house in the other for balance, the pool in the center for show and tell, the shed and dog house in the rear corner and the garage in the other corner just in case it starts to rain and you need some place to put the X. (or the present for that matter) Dave.
Hey... are there any lady owners out there??
It would be interesting to get a female perspective of the X.
