OK, I need to draw on the "experts'" knowledge base here:
I have a 2000 V-10 4x4 Limited with 67,000 miles. Three days ago, I developed a "pop" in the front area of the vehicle (sounds like it's under the driver's floor board, but at least on the driver's side of the front end) After having read the posts in the past, I assumed it was one or more of the sway bar bolts/brackets, body mounts, etc.
Well, I took it to a local repair shop today, and they looked at everything, including - they tightened the shock tower bolts; shock bushing bolts; track bar bolts; track bar bracket bolts; u-bolt nuts; steering stabilizer bolts; steering gearbox bolts; removed the driver's side body bolt, ground down the area of the body that was most likely to cause contact, and reinstalled it; checked the ball joints; retightened the wheels to the correct torque; sway bar end link bolts; sway bar bushing bolts; etc., etc., etc..........STILL, the pop is there!
It is most pronounced when turning sharply and at the same time causing suspension movement; although, sometimes simply turning sharply will cause the noise. As a matter of fact, just suspension movement has caused it to happen at times.
After being there to witness the tech examine and tighten everything he could find, I'm sort of at wit's end.......anyone have any suggestions???? Please advise,
Thanks

dnp,
Does it feel like the popping sound/feel like it is right under your feet on the driver's side?
What you describe sounds exactly like the body bolt. My vehicle was under warranty when I had it fixed and Ford was able to deal with it the first time. I believe they put some sort of spacer in with the bushing/block that sits inbetween the frame and body mount.

Thanks for the reply.
I had the tech remove, grind, reinstall, and tighten the body bolt under the driver's floor, but I still have the popping noise. Since he didn't install a spacer or anything else, he may have stopped short.........how do I access earlier posts on body mount bolt/bushing threads? I couldn't get the search function to give me anything......
I can tell you though, if I can't get this problem resolved pretty soon, there'll be a 2000 V-10 4x4 Limited on the market!!!
Thanks for any help any of you can offer.

We tend to get that elusive pop under the drivers side floor board from time to time maybe more during the warmer months though.
I sourced it to the sway bar itself sliding from side to side with the frame support arms tapping against the frame.
Looks as if KTP applied some grease lubricant of sorts on the inside of the U bracket rubber bushings mounted against the axle.
A possible fix would be to add say a pair of dumbbell collars against the outside of each U bracket to keep the bar from sliding back and forth, perhaps that'll eliminate the floor pop
