I found on ebay a guy who sells 2 Blank PATS keys for $19.95 per pair plus s & h. Sounds like a good deal to me. He said he had as many as were needed. Contact him anytime. Thought everyone might be interested. Beats my dealership's price. |

Isn't the charge from the dealership primarily to cover "programmings costs" of the key? What does the dealership charge for just the key without programming it?

You might try your local lumberyard or hardware store. Mine sells them for $12 including the cut. |

I just bought 2 PATS keys on eBay for $9.00 each from a guy called joefriday2.
Had them cut at Sears for $2.00 each.
Followed the programming instructions that came with keys and they work like a charm.
Also got an extra "clicker" on eBay for $12.50. Followed the instructions I found on the old version of this board. It also worked just fine.
Now I'm set in case I ever lose a set of keys.

But, you have to have 2 keys to program the new ones right? |

That's right. Otherwise you have to go to a dealer to get your new key "introduced" to your vehicle.
That's why I wanted to get a spare spare as soon as possible, just in case I lost the second, original key. |
