I like my Cooper Discoverer AT tires. On my Dodge 1500 I had Michelins (LTX or something like that) and they were good tires. My dad has a 2000 F250 4x4 PSD and he has had poor luck with General tires. He's had a huge bubble on one tire and the other one shredded itself yesterday. Both tires had around 38k miles and good tread left.

I've got Coopers on my wife's New Beetle now. I like my local dealer and the price is right.

I've always loved Cooper Discoverers as well. Had em on my old Chebbi Blazer and on an old F-100. Great mileage, great traction, awesome price, low noise. Never had a problem.

Only reason I'm not going with em now is cause I can't find em in 37's.

I'm a big fan of BFG All Terrains, but I'm still running Firestone Steeltex tires on my Excursion. I have never owned a tire that lasted this long. I just replaced my last original Steeltex tire that had over 85,000 miles on it. Due to the load rating, they make the ride a little rougher than the BFG AT's. I would switch to BFG AT's if I had to get 4 new tires but the opportunity just hasn't presented itself yet.

The Nitto Tierra Grappler is one sweet looking tire. I've seen it mounted on Chevys, but no X's. I think that's what I'm going with. It's a pretty aggresive looking tire, but not as aggressive as a mud terrain. I've heard it handles very well on the street with little noise. The BFG all terrains are nice also. They are putting those on the new H2's stock.

I just put on a set of Nitto`s ( 305-70-16`s) and a set of aftermarket wheels (8"X16`s). The Nitto`s are very quite, handle Very well and a whole lot cheaper than BFG`s. There is no rubbing at all, not even close. Iv`e got at least 3/4" gap and no rubbing of the swaybar. The Manager at Tire Discount had a set of MB Motorsport wheels he wanted to get rid of, a costumer orderd and didn`t pickup. Didn`t really care for them but for $65.00 a rim ( list was $175.00) I couldn`t pass them up. They will do for know intill I get the lift on with KMC`s and 36`s or 37`s.

I`m looking at a 6" Edge kit and trying a set of 37X18" on KMC`s w/ the fushion ring. Don`t have the part# handy.
