Have any of you looked into a larger or auxilliary tank for your excursions? I'm having trouble locating anything. Thanks |

I remember reading about a baja Excursion that was built with a 60 gallon tank. I would also love the additional mileage...I want to hit the $100 mark at the fuel pump when I need to fill the tank! No idea who made the tank or if it was even a mass-production product.

I haven't looked at them myself, but I understand the F-series SD trucks have their tanks mounted alongside the framerail .... FORWARD of the rear axle. Being that yours is located where their spare tire normally goes, it might be feasible that one of their tanks (a smaller one if multiple sizes are offered) just might fit underneath. Now ... how about plumbing / valves / and switches to go from one tank to another?
Good luck .... and report back if your wander across something that works.
