Has anyone added a power inverter to their rig? If so, what size, where, how, etc...
TIA

Kevin,
I just went to Target and picked up a single outlet power inverter. It works great for powering a 14" TV and X Box. Don't remember the size, but they make different sizes depending on how much juice you need. Cost was about $40 if I remember correctly...

I have a little 350W jobber which connects via cig lighter... I was thinking more along the lines of 1000W or more to run tools and stuff off of - one which would be hard-wired into the cabin somewhere. Thanks for your response, though.

Kevin,we went by Harbor Frieght and picked up a 800 watt unit with twin internal fans which is hard wired in.
We use it to power anything from a small 13" TV,DVD player,Laptop or anything in between

I have a ProSine 1800 installed under the middle seat, drivers side. It will provide power for almost anything you can image but if you do not keep the truck running, it will drain the battery in miniutes if you put a heavy load on it. Also keep in mind that you will reduce the life of your alternator. |

I ended up buying a 1000W inverter from Costco and mounted in on the tranny hump in the front.
