Hello. I once saw an X from a distance that had a very pronounced-heightened hood. The profile was so pronounced that it was analogous to the shape of a huge "cargo roof-top box", but it was indeed the hood. Subsequently, I saw an X oriented hood, made by Good Hood, identified by the part number GHF-101 (see http://www.carhoods.com/GoodHoods/GHF-101.htm). Have any among us seen anything approximating what I'm trying to describe and, if so, might the GHF-101 be this bestial beauty?
Thank you

Steve,
Welcome to the site!
I believe you are describing a "cowl induction"-style hood. Here is a pic I found by just searching on Google for "cowl induction excursion hood": http://store.yahoo.com/streetbeatcustoms/forf3supdut9.html Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for or what, but knowing the name of the style might help you in your search.
Aaaaaugh, you mentioned the Poconos. My wife and I drove out to the Caesar Pocono Resorts for our honeymoon only to find out that it was like a setting out of a bad 70's porno movie. Must be an east coast thing.

Eric,
Thank you for the welcome. The hood seemed taller than the one depicted in the link you provided.
As for Caesars, et al, these are very tired places, "has-beens" where people probably do a lot of yawning. To wit, the old Playboy Club in Great Gorge NJ, infested by the tuberculosis-ridden immigrants...not to mention the Catskills...you were on the garbage side of the Poconos, closest to I-80 and the first exit for New Yorkers who aren't carting their #1 export in gargantuan trash haulers.
Take care,
Steve |
