I agree about austin !!!!
I work out of the house and so I miss most of the traffic....
If my sweetie didn't love her job and want to stay cxloser to town, I'd be out and about as well !

pshaw !!! rx_tx !!!!
COME TO dfw - THERE'S MORE THAN ONE toll road THEY FEEL WE SHOULD PAY FOR in addition TO THE ASTRONOMICAL PROPERTY TAXES around here |
Well, you learn something new every day. I didn't know we had toll roads in Texas. You guys will probably get a huge laugh out of this, but I've never been on a toll road in my life. Maybe I'm not well traveled.
BTW, I appreciate the invitation to come to DFW, but I avoid big cities like the plague. I've been there before and have no desire to go back. I don't even like driving in Austin. Too much traffic. |
Toll roads are an experience when you're just passing through. They would drive me nuts if I had to deal with them on a daily basis. It's always fun to see who can get out of the gates FASTEST after you drop the coins in the basket though. It's funny to watch people go from about 8 lanes down to 3 or 4. Always a bunch of black smoke billowing out the X's exhaust.
I can deal with slow-moving traffic but the stop-and-go stuff is really annoying...especially with pulsating brakes in the X! Don't think I could ever avoid the big city...fun to work in, but not to live in. I'm out in the 'burbs with my nice green grass, landscaping, and garage.
