What is the difference in the Excursion Limited and the Excursion Limited Ultimate? Just what extras make the difference?

I believe someone mentioned that the Ford Excursion Limited Ultimate was a package available on earlier Ford Excursions. It is no longer a standard package from Ford. If a dealership is offering it in a new Excursion, it is probably a custom package that the dealership is doing themselves. Usually it involves better seats or wood trim or something like that.

If you check out http://www.fordvehicles.com you can "build your own" Excursion. It's easy to see from the interface what the differences are between the different packages. They are definitely confusing now vs. two years ago when they were just XLT and Limited.

The Limited Ultimate was still available in 02 as one step 'above' the Limited. It involved the memory function on the pedals and driver's seat and different controls on the steering wheel that let you run the radio as well. It cost about $360 more than the Limited. It was dropped for 03 and the memory function was incorporated into the Limited trim line. Believe the radio controls were also. For 03 the Eddie Bauer was introduced that has a few less options than the Limited now has.
Hope this helps.
