I'm curious as to where y'alls gauges point when warmed up.
I know the gauges are nothing more than idiot lights but I'm still curious.
Here's mine...
Coolant temp - About a 3/8 inch off the bottom of the normal scale indicator. The needle just touches the bottom of the icon in the center.
Oil - The needle covers the top of the icon in the center.
Volts - Needle covers the top of the icon.
Both oil and volts are in the upper part of the normal scale while the coolant appears to be in the lower part.
It's a 2000 so I have no tranny temp. gauge. A-pillar guages are my spring project! (Oil pressure, tranny temp and true voltage)
Fuel level - It only is on full for about 5 minutes after I fill it up and then it goes down quite quickly. Can someone help me with this one?!

Monsta, I have an 02' 7.3 4x4 LU and can advise:
Coolant temp: Almost half way up. Trans temp: Half way up.
Oil pressure: 3/4 on startup and slightly lower after operating (abt 2/3)
Fuel: From total full to dropping slightly under in about 40 miles. Shape of tank may have something to do with it however it seems pretty darn accurate when filing up from 1/4 and/or 1/2 tank. (FYG I average 16 mpg).
No electrical / alternator gauge.
I read an article perhaps on Dieselmann's website ?? about gauge testing that indicated that gauges moved fixed amounts for fixed range variables, prohibiting any accurate type of temperature analysis on coolant (including trans). Oil pressure however looks to consistantly vary as I would expect.

I don't pay attention to them that closely. As long as they are WNL I don't think about them. If I had a new PSD X I would probably be a little more concerned about it though.

Everythings A-OK with me as long as everyting is in the "Normal" range! Guess I'm an idiot for thinking this, eh? Seriously though, I don't have their positions memorized. I will report back after my next trip in the X.
One thing I do know, the fuel gauge stays past the "F" when full for at least 50 miles.
