What a fun project...good ideas, too. I would love if I had a "winter" mode on my X so that when I remoted started it, it'd fire up front and rear fans, rear defrost & heated mirrors, and of course the seat warmers. Does it have autopilot so that it'll drive you to work all by yourself, too???

The winter mode is pretty easy to do. The new remote starts from Viper or clifford with the responder technology (it pages you with the status of your vehicle www.directed.com ) Have a feature called defrost out. basically have it trigger a relay that will send a ground PULSE to an on/off switch and then 3 wires dioded (so if you hit the seat warmer the rear defroster won't kick on) you then have to access under the seats, so remove them, and hook up the wire, I beleive it is violet, but will check, then also there is a blue/orange at the rear defrost switch that needs to be hooked up also. If you want I will look at my notes later and post the colors.

As for driving this by itself, I would just hire a driver

I have the Viper alarm/remote start with the 2-way communication remote so that I can see if it's armed or not, if it received my remote start signal, and if the alarm goes off which sensor was triggered. I just wish there was a silent/vibrate alert on it.

No need to check up on your notes. I am not an electronics guy so wouldn't be trying that myself.

Jbondox, did you get my email? I'm only asking in the forums because sometimes the email filter keeps certain email addresses from getting through. Not sure why.

here is some updated pics

here is the 2nd row seats getting treated for an outboard armrest, it has to have that lazy-boy feel

the custom center console which now houses the window switches, a doolock switch, and dual audio video controls for the 10" motorized flip down monitors (4 all together 1 for each of the rear passengers) also the monitor that is low in the front center console will show the gps/navigation info.

(the steel bracket secures the center console through the floor and is bolted underneath)
