who knows about these radios?which is the best,why,can you give them more power?i am planning on getting one and need input from you guys.

My dads a trucker, he says cobras the best, I'm not a trucker and I use a nextel, but I guess both have there place. |

thanks, mike | The antenna will also make or break a CB. The "cell phone style" antennas are a little sleaker but don't get the same reception as the longer, whip-style antennas that you see mounted on the side-mirrors of the big rigs. You can get shorter "whip" antennas that can mount to your mirror, rear bumper, roof, etc.
Uniden is a good brand -- I had one in my Bronco and never had a problem with it. It also depends what features you want as well...some come with PA's, external speakers, etc. You can spend anywhere from $20 to several hundred on a CB.

I am putting a cb in the center console and placing the ant. same place but other side as the factory ant. I seen that on a super duty pick up and it was clean looking.
