This first part is for Spartan:
Shame on you, sir! No, I haven't had a chance to go read the alleged flaming that went on ... BUT I have heard all about it. Were your ears itching? (lol) If we do have a large affair, you'll get an invite. Probably will be a private ceremony with a big party afterwards. I suggested that since we really don't need anything, that we have a potluck deal ... bring food & beverages ... forget the gifts. BTW ... bring LOTS of beverages. She actually kind of liked that idea. I would like a chance to meet you. Your pix came through, but we've already discussed those via e-mail. Did I mention to bring lots of beverages?
This next part is for everyone else following info on my radius-rods:
First shipment from this latest batch went out today!!! Another kit gets shipped tomorrow. And another on Friday. I want to thank y'all for being patient while I build these things.

I'm telling you folks - these things are incredible. Get in line now before Ken doesn't have the energy to make any more. You know - getting engaged, married and all. He's just a little too old to be trying for everthing at once;). LOL
On a practical note - while Landyot's radius rods are the s**t, I think you also need to take a good look at your shocks and tires. In a prior post Landyot states that he would have kept the stock shocks after putting on the rad rods. While it would be possible, I disagree.
Get Landyot's radius rods, a rear Hellwig anti sway bar, upgrade to some nice gas shocks and add good tires. Tighten all the nuts in the front end and you will be amazed at the result. Don't let me be misunderstood though - the radius rods are the key component. If you do nothing else - do the rad rods.
Good luck.

Just completed an installation for another X-owner. Before I started the install, we swapped trucks, and drove around a few roads in my neighborhood so he could feel how mine rode. He said he could feel the difference in mine before we even got out of the driveway (BTW, the driveway is about 100 yards long). |

I installed mine today. I haven't had much road time yet, about 20 miles, but I noticed a huge difference on unpaved roads. I can accelerate over "washboards" without the rear end fish-tailing out from under me.
I know it's been said a number of times, but if you go for any upgrade, I suggest the radius rods. The install is straight forward, and the improvement is more than noticable. My hat is off to Landyot. |

Thank you for the endorsement, Orf!
Previously, Spartan made a comment along the lines of SuperDuty owners should get a kit from me. Please let me clarify that I am offering these radius-rods for the Excursion model only. |

I got my Rad-Rods today. No I havn`t got them on yet but I`ll tell you the workmanship on these rods nothing but quality. These things are worth twice the amount Ken is asking. He`s done his homework and it shows in his craftmenship.
I`ll give a report as soon as I get them on.

I can attest to the craftsmanship, too. They look stock when installed. Are you doing the install yourself? If so, get a torch and make sure you have enough gas. Ask me how I know. |

YAHOO!!!
Add me to the list of satisfied Landyot Radius Bar owners!!!
This weekend I installed Landyot's Proto-type Gen-I Radius Bars on my wife's 2000 Ex' 4x2 V10 Limited, and wow! What a difference!!!
A couple of months ago, I began exchanging email with Landyot about the way my wife's Ex handles and such. Being that we have rear "Air Lift" bags installed (for towing purposes), the Gen-II bars would not fit. Fortunately, our Ex has the rear brake calipers mounted to the rear, so the Gen-I bars would fit! Landyot's been busy making the Gen-II Radius Bars and offered to sell me his Proto-type Gen-I Radius Bars off of his Ex for a very fair price. Landyot needed to installed his Gen-II Radius Bars, and I could only install the Gen-I Bars on our Ex, so it was a deal. Landyot re-built the "used" Gen-I bars with new bushings, bolts and washers, and re-painted them. Granted they were a little rough around the edges, being his Proto-type bars, but structurally and functionally they are as solid as the his "more refined" versions.
Being that we have a 4x2, the installation was made easier by not having to cut off the traction bar, 'cause the 4x2 doesn't have one! Landyot's instructions were excellent, and when I needed his expert advise on the finer points of the installation, Landyot was quick, thorough and friendly with his emails back to me. All in all, it was a very straightforward bolt-on mod that took me about 2 1/2 hours in total, including set up and test-driving.
The quality of the ride improved quite noticeably. The rear end feels very solid driving over irregularities in the road surface. The extra “wiggle wiggle” that was felt is completely gone, and the steering effort (to keep her pointed straight) has reduced when driving over rough road surfaces. Since our Ex' is my wife's daily driver, she commented, "I don't feel the bumps in my tush. And I'm not fighting the steering wheel for control. This mod ranks right up there with the addition of the rear anti-sway bar!!!"
For those of you who are fine tuning their Ex’s suspension with after market shocks and a Helwig rear anti-sway bar, Landyot’s Radius Bars need to be added to your list. They complete the “after market” system needed to control the rear suspension for both comfort and safety.
Yet another satisfied customer! Thanks Landyot!
Regards,
Randy R…

Thanks Randy! The "timing" between us has been great. You once offered up some poly bushings for a 4x4 front sway bar to the first person to respond, and I was there. When I no longer needed my original prototype radius-rods because I was finalizing the GEN-II version on my truck, AND because I needed some dimensions from a 2WD Excursion, you were there to work a deal. I'm glad to hear the radius-rods provide a noticeable improvement on a 2WD model ... something I was not so sure about beforehand. Thanks again! Ken |

There on Could not wait any longer for the weather to brake so friday mourning I started on them. A steamy 18*,froze my die grinder up then the air lines and finally went to a 4-1/2 grinder with a cutoff wheel to get the stock bars off. The rest was a breeze.
Ken, the xtra lenght you added to my rods was perfect for the 1" blocks and helper spring.
The axle wrap on my x was pretty nasty due to the added 1" blocks and 4.88 gears w/Detroit locker and the programer set for the firmest shifts.....It`s now gone!
As for the wandering going down the road.......gone. I`ve put on over 300 miles this weekend and noticed on the tollway at 75 I hardly had to correct the steering at all.
As for the RR tracks, no more bouncing all over the place, smooth as silk.
These bars should be at the top of everybody`s list with the addition of Hellwig swaybar, shocks and tires.
Add me too the list of another happy customer.
