Unless that dash-mounted screen is tied to a rear-view camera, it's illegal in VA, and in many other states, too. (Cannot have a video screen visible to the driver ... and THEY DO issue tickets when they see 'em playing.) Otherwise, the installation looks pretty good.
Will the flip / filler-panels still flip down? (the ones hinged on the back of the 2nd row seat that flip down almost flush with the floor) |

I believe it's not the screen itself that is illegal but the content that's on it. You cannot legally view motion video (i.e. DVDs, TV, etc) on it while driving. The screen, when not in video mode, simply serves as a display for radio stations, etc. My X has an override that allows me to view video on the dash-mounted screen if I want to. I use the "brain" on my CVA-1005 to output video to another TV. A 14" TV fits nicely between the front captain chairs.
