I was reading a thread here last night that had 3-4 diesel specific forums listed.
I can't seem to find the thread. Can somebody list some good sites for diesel discussions?
TIA |

There are three diesel forums at Ford-trucks.
Traffic is climbing. You'll find great diesel info at thedieselstop.com!

JMHO on the diesel stop ...
I don't visit it any longer - the tone of the site changed too much by allowing some to blatantly disregard the discussion rules and slander any and all and gloat over their "victories"...
There's just as much info on other sites and a friendlier tone than the diesel stop...
So I choose to visit these sites rather than chance being the target of their Life's too short to have waaste my time with that kind of stuff

Wow John Boy, that was kinda harsh. lol I have only seen that type of behavior on the 6.0 fourms and it was usually proponents of Dodge, and GM stirring things up. The diesel registry is notorious for the same behavior on that entire site, and bringing it to other sites as well. I feel there are no reasons to bash different brands of trucks. I have been a mechanic for way too long to ever think one brand is the best. IMO the mood is very friendly in the Excursion, 94-97 PSD, 7.3 Mods, and IDI forums on Thedieselstop. Some other sites are Truckmoxie.com, The DieselPlace.com, Oilburners.net. Most sites have a Links section that can be helpfull. Hope this helps. Gregg

Not really harsh at all - not NEARLY as brutal as what goes on in a lot of the 6-oh forums...
And they don't bash brands - they bash the user community that is participating I do recall the 7.3 forums were a nice place to be when I had my 02 7.3 Ex...
but the 6-oh forums contain some real zingers and I just chose not to be there !
Today at Blockbuster heard a guy yell my user name from over there today !
said he knew my truck from the gallery...
Said Hi but had to run so I didn't get a chance to tell him why he hasn't seen any post over there from me any longer...
Can't we all just get along ???
I have a nephew that is in Kuwait for 6 days and then heads to Baghdad !
So thedieselstop is not high on the priority list, if you know what I mean...

thedieselstop.com is a great place for technical content.
I find it a bit elitist most of the time.
Many of the "famous Mods" that float around th einternet (ZooDad, Harpoon tank mod etc. etc.) came from users at thedieselstop.com.
If you go for community, IMHO, you will be disappointed. This place and FTE are a better. All have changed over the years, however...

JohnBoy you got that right. There are a few guys over thee that seem to look for ways to bash other's; and they are not GM or Dodge guys. They're Ford guys that act like little kids....
But there is a lot of good info. Some not so good so use your head. ;)
