I like them. Without them I'd have to lift the twins in and out.

Even with running boards I've had several people just about fall on their butts getting in and out of the X.

Didn't mean to get anyone wound up on that last post There are several reason I don't like running boards. First off they are no good for off roading. They seem to catch tons of grit and dirt. And after taking them off I discovered that they weigh a good 75 pounds or so between the two. So the benefits for not having them on out weigh the benifits for having them on. I do miss the lights though.

Not worked up at all !
and you are right about off-roading...
but is the X the off-roading vehicle I would chose ?
probably would go back to one of my four jeeps ...

but the X shines when yu talk about a travleeing vehicle !

And back on topic.... I saw an ALL white "mon" X the other day...
the antitheis(sic) of mine !!!

I agree with the Lack of color choices on the X's. I am a total green fan and tried real hard to love the 2 choices I was given...NOT! My husband and drove all over southeastern Wisconsin looking at colors as it is hard to tell from that tiny circle. I loved the Mineral Grey but even on the Eddie Bauer it was to monotone.....My heart leapt at the Dark Toreador Red which was only available on the F350's. I finally chose the Black Eddie Bauer. She is awesome looking. With the Arizona Beige contrast on the exterior, those dark, dark, windows and two/tone Med Parchment leather interior,,,WOW what a head turner...I do feel like a Princess everytime I get behind the wheel.

PS: I love the running boards, especially the lights in the evening. Without them I'd need to take a running start to get inside and wearing a skirt to the office would be a big NO NO. My passengers love them also in addition to the hand rails, even my senior neighbor can enter and exit easily. Happy Easter!
