Folks,

As you'll notice, there is a significant change in the look of the site today. This is part of an effort to start an online business catering to the automotive aftermarket community of individual enthusiasts, clubs, vendors, and manufacturers. FordExcursions.com will function as a "club" within the SuperMotors network much like a club would that you setup on Yahoo! groups, MSN groups, etc.

Aside from the SuperMotors concept, FordExcursions.com will now have its own dedicated forums, registry, and member listing that is separated from the rest of SuperFord.org and various other clubs that establish a presence on SuperMotors.

As you can see, the forum layout has been slightly improved. Changes to note are:

1.) The forums expand to the entire width of your browser window, making it easier to fit more content into the window without it being "scrunched up"

2.) Forum searching now exists! There is a basic search field on the homepage of the forums. This will search the entire forum database of posts.

3.) Forum search results will automatically highlight the keyword or keywords you chose to search on. For example, if you choose to search for "Hellwig", anywhere in the forum search results Hellwig exists, it will have a yellow highlight behind it to help you locate the topics containing your search criteria.

4.) A "preview" button exists so that you can preview your post before submitting a new topic or reply.

5.) Various other interface tweaks/improvements that allow for easier reading and usability.

Please take some time to browse around the new format. I'm interested in hearing anyone's comments, critiques, or feedback.

Regards,

-Eric

Man, I thought I was on the wrong site for a second.

I like it. Thanks to all the powers that be for working so hard on this.

And yes, I had to sign in again.

When I view the list of club members, I do not find myself. Was that intentional, or did I get expelled?

The club's member list was based on individuals who had registry entries on the "old" site. If you did not have a registry entry, then there was really no way for the system to add you as a member.

So, how do you get listed on the club's member list?

If you see the "JOIN OUR CLUB" link on the left-hand side, click it! After you've joined and been approved, you'll be on the list among other aspiring Excursion owners.
