I have a 02 PSD with 35,000 miles on it. The coolant in my truck is gold in color. I thought I read somewhere that the gold colored coolant did not need conditioner added to it. Is that correct? Also, my X is 2wd and unfortuanetly I have nothing to tow behind it, so it has had an easy life. I know the fuel filter is in need of changing but is there any other maintanence I cant live with out for the 30-40,000 service ( ie, transmission fluid, differentials). I have been a member for 2 years and this is my first post!!! Where does the time go???

Firstly, The engine is at least 2 years old so it likely needs to have a coolant change anyways.
Seems to me that the green coolant needs to have conditioner added every couple of years and the orange ?? stuff goes longer. Dunno for sure so you should check the books.

As for the tranny and diff fluids, if you don't have any records of them having been changed, then you should probably have it done when its convenient. It might cause some damage to the wallet but I'm sure that there will be no bodily damage done providing that the wife does not notice the weight differential of the wallet.
