I like the look of the egg crate grilles we have on our X's, and I do like the aftermaket ones too. Has anyone ever had their stock grille completey chromed, not sure if it's worth the cost, or if it will even look good, just a thought.

Sorry to sidetrack...I have never removed the grille from my X. Is the egg create portion separate or attached to the chrome "frame" that surrounds the grille?

The egg crate does come off. I Painted mine before going to an aftermarket grille

Bill, did you paint your to match your paint shceme? What are the averages of getting items chromed, it is bassed on weight, size?

I painted my grille black to match the truck. I just went to a one peice billet grille and love it. I think the stock might look great all chrome, if it will stick to the plastic. It would be a one of a kind
