Maybe y'all have seen this particular pic over at FTE, though...
I love how Ford copied my idea of putting the Super Duty grill on the Ex.

Was just at a dealership this weekend and saw some '05 SuperDutys on the lot. The interiors have a new "look" to them as well. The wood grain/trim looks great but, like most redesigns, it'll take a little time for it to grow on me. Looks very sleek. At first glance it looks more like a European dash than an American dash, if that makes any sense!

Doug,
Did you look underneath to see if there are coils on it?
What powered that truck? Do you know?
Did the interior change dramatically?

When did Ford decide on putting the 05 X in production? Im on the east coast and everything i had heard was that Ford was done with the X in 04. I didnt think it made much sense for them to make all those mods on the '04 for the 6.0PSD, and im definately glad they are keeping these beasts around. Also, i had read an article about the Tonka Super Duty and am glad they are keeping those looks, that grill is bad ass! |

We've known for sure since April that Ford was going to make a 2005 Excursion based on options popping up in fleet ordering guides, etc. I believe '06 is the "last" year the X is slated for? At this point, who knows. I'm confused as to why they aren't porting over the new changes on the SuperDuty's (suspension, namely) to the Excursion. Possibly a sign that they are investing nothing in the X's future. The driving dynamics are quite different on the X thant he SuperDuty -- maybe they are doing something different for the X's. You could speculate forever. It would be nice to buy a vehicle with confidence in knowing that it's going to be out for years to come.
