Before firing up my John Deere riding mower this evening, I pulled the X out of the garage only to see a puddle of oil and a line down the driveway where I backed out. This marks the 4th or 5th time with this thing where I've had a major oil leak of some sort. Thanks to AAA, I had my vehicle towed to the local "truck" dealership where they discovered that it was the high pressure fittings that came loose. Parts and Labor $250. Bummer.

On the other hand, the service manager informed me that Ford is replacing my Firestone Steeltex Load "D" range tires free-of-charge with BFG Rugged Trail Load "E" range tires. I couldn't believe it. All 4 of my Firestones were replaced over the course of a couple years (sidewall peeling, among other minor issues) and I didn't think they would qualify mainly because I didn't go throug Ford to get them replaced...went through the local Firestone dealer. Now here I sit getting 4 new tires for free. It sounds too good to be true but I'll be damned if I'm going to argue this one!!!

Did you check the spare? They should have done all 5.

Score! I like my BFG... There a little nasty on wet and snow covered roads. But the X could spin any tire on any road surface

Cheers
