I decided that, instead of complaining of fuel prices, I would do something about them. Since the fuel prices don't seem to be going down any time soon, the wife and I decided it would be best to use the X for hauling and long trips. That being said, we bought me a new daily driver:

37MPG BABY!! Well, not the way I drive.

NICE!! It must be rough being able to drive that year 'round in Texas.

My weekend cruiser (the Galaxie) will get its last bath of the season and then the cover goes on for the winter in the next week or two.

A week or two? We won't get snow for another month ..At least, that's what I'm hoping for. My cruiser, (the Benz) has to stay out for at least three weeks though 'cuz I haven't cleaned out the garage yet Just a little behind schedule. I did manage to make winter room for the motorcycle though. Nothing quite as fancy as yours, Kevin but it gets the same kinda mileage!

Up here in the Northland, we are forced to put away our toys early or Mother Nature gets really mad. And then she gets even by making that white stuff last for 6 months!

Enjoy your new ride Kevin and remember...Keep the wheel side down!!!

True, but it's hunting season now! Gotta get all of the summer toys put away before the first couple hunting trips. Otherwise it'll be mid-November before I think about the Galaxie again...at which point it'll probably be too late to pull her out of the garage for one last wash!

Yup, living in Texas certainly has its advantages... just don't ask me to ride the Superhog from Dallas to El Paso!

LOL... I rode this morning when it was 39°. I only have to ride about 4 miles to and from work. It's worth it.
