I have an '01 powerstroke 4wd that makes a terrible noise, almost a grind, when I hit a big bump at slow speeds (like passing over a speedbump or something causing the front end to bounce). Sounds like a shock that is grinding when it's compressed to a certain point. Coult it be anything else? Thanks.

Check your swaybar endlinks(upper and lower), Trac-bar...and all the other front end bolts ect...that seems to be where most of the noise is associated.
