My 01 X has the dam$#ST creaking in the back. When I installed all new Kenwood speakers, I pulled all the body panels inside and insulated with hush mat where practical. I pulled rear window trim on inside and insulated that as well. While it has improved, I am ay my wit's end. I even went after the roof vent inside the rear door, It definitely sounds like plastic creaking but I don't have any other clues. Tire is tight as well. jack is fine. ANyone who has had a problem like this had any luck??
Thanks

I had creaking in the interior rear passenger quarter panel....

Not sure what it was since i got it fixed under warranty, but when queried my Svc writer said there is a support that fits into a slot in front of the rear air to hold things solid that was not fitted properly...

All I know is that they fixed it...

Sorry, Since I'm mechanically challenged, I let them do it...

One suggestion is that with a previous Jeep 5.9 limited I had some "noises" brought it to a paint and body shop and since they repair damaged cars, they knew just how to fix it.... 120K miles later it was still quiet...

good luck.... and turn the nice upgraded radio up so u won't hear it

I find that turning up the radio eliminates any creaking sounds.

Any creaking I get typically comes from the damn cup holders in the dash. Sometimes I just want to rip that thing out and throw it out the window!

Just to let you know..I finally found that freakin creak. The only piece of panel I had not removed was the lower trim panel below the rear window. Underneath the panel there is this cheap plastic crap they used to cover the access openings to the rear wiper motor. Removed and replaced with hush mat. Covered edges of molding panel with hush mat shims....ALAS IT IS GONE!!! HALLELUIAH!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! BUY BONDS!!!!!
