Hi
I have an 01 PSD Excursion and really have not done much to the vehicle other than regular Oil changes (5k intervals) one fuel filter change, 3 air filter changes, brakes, and ball joints. I have also drained the water separator and done the coolant treatment every 12k.
I have notice some oil deposits on intercooler hoses and clamp areas and have had an oil issue where the oil was dripping down by the rear main seal ( I tightened clamps on intercooler @ turbo and seemed to go away), so what should I be doing at this point for maintence?
I was thinking Coolant Flush, new fan belt, fuel filter, trans flush and filter change, Truck has had a little surge on cold mornings , once warm the fluttering goes away. Any advice would be welcome. |

For the oil residue on the clamps you'll wanna do the CCV mod, that'll eliminate the oil vapors from entering the fresh air intake thus coating everything with oil along with the intercooler which is bad in my opinion thus reducing the air cooling effect which equals to less power in the end.
This is a kit similar to what I installed on our 7.3L
