OK I finally got to install my Factory Tech accumualtor valve body sunday. With a grin from ear to ear all I can say is "WOW". What a improvement I finally have nice firm shifts. I cant wait to tow with this installed.

I contacted Gregg Evans several weeks ago with some questions on his valve body and throw a sales pitch for our site. He replied quickly and anwsered my questions with his expert knowledge of our trucks. He sent me a accumulator valve body to me FREE of charge in exchange for my honest and sincere opinion of his product. The package arrived promtly and I was dieing to install it but weather and the bathroom remodeling project had prioroity. The directions were awesome http://stores.ebay.com/Factory-Tech-Online-Store/FTVB-install-instructions.html and took all of a hour to install. I didnt have the time to completly flush the tranny but the fluid was brite red and no burnt smell so i just put 8 quarts of Mobil 1 ATF after resealing the tranny up. I have since had a problem getting the smile off my face.
Wide open throttle shifting from 1st to 2nd is quick, and responsive. Before the same shift would take up to 4-5 seconds.agghhhh I feel I have put many more years into the life of my tranny with this latest install.
Gregg also makes and sells the Monster Box transmissions for our trucks. Read this link and see for yourself.

I have started to keep a log to check out the temps after the install and will report back my findings. I feel this is the way to go with the diesels with chips. I have the X here for anyone to take it for a drive ot get in with me and take a spin.

The valve body looks exact as the one I replaced.
| Quote: | | Scott...did ya take pics of the install procedure for our installs area on the site??? 1 hour? Sounds too easy! | I took pictures
I did this mod for Towing more than performance. Our trannys shift crappy and I knew that shifting that poor would create problems towing down the road!!! Still Smiling

Hi Birdman,
Sounds like a great mod for the $. Are you going to post pics of the install? Are your tranny temps cooler? Wish I was in MD so I could see it!
Thanks,
Hawkeyes

My tranny temps are much cooler. Its hard to get a real time temp since the weather is much cooler here though. I also installed Mobil 1 synthentic tranny oil when the switch was made. Its well worth the money if your doing any kind of towing or performance modding.
Dieselsite has it on sale for $200 through the holidays I beleive.

The FTVB I installed in my X really helped the shiting quite a bit. Very easy install.
Recomended.

The X must leave a pretty large pile of excrement.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
