I have the FTVB and the Banks Transcommand installed. Also installed the MagHytec oversized trans oil pan and refilled with Mobil 1. I pull 9500lbs kool as a cucumber with great firm shifts.

Ok, what exactly does this thing do?? Im a fairly new Ex owner, so Im reading and learnng as I go!! I know that the valve body is in the tranny, but when you drop the pan, is it right there?? It sounds like its the ticket!!!

Yes, when you drop the pan the valve body is right there....just let all the fluid drip out and it unscrews and drops out. Replacing the improved valve body is a snap. Change your transmission filter while you've got the pan dropped. The valve body increases the pressure and accordingly stiffens the shifts....makes nice strong shifts particularly when towing.....I noticed reduced trans temperatures when towing as a result.
