Hey CHPmustang, how fast would an Excursion go with the Mustang 6.0? Also, would that engine even be able to move the Excursion? |

A better question may be how fast would a 'Stang be with the 6.8L V10? Doesn't the senior Ford exec have a custom-built Mustang with a V10?
The original question was, "Does the Excursion have a speed limiter?" Mine does. It's my wallet. I pay enough in insurance premiums now. Mrs. LAND YOT also serves equally well in that department whenever I need to be reminded. The darn thing rides so smooth that excessive speed is easily obtained if one doesn't pay attention to the speedometer. Riding in the X just doesn't relay the true sense of speed to the driver seat. |

Drop in a fully prepped up 5.0 and I'm sure it'll move the Excursion just fine I can't say what speeds tho.
I'm not into racing here, just keeping the information network moving for the Excursion enthusiasts/owners

Not sure what was originally offered. I know the the hubcaps are from a Fairlane. The previous owner thought it was a good idea to bring it back to the "factory look" with improperly matching parts/components. He was not a car guy. I realize this every time I spend a weekend working on it and find some other new surprise.
