Just joined the club, love the forums. Question about fuel milage. I have 2001EX with powerstroke, it has 50K miles and I get about 15MPG on freeway avg. going 70 MPH. I have AIRraid intake and 4"exhaust. I am very light on the pedal and still 15 all i get driving on straight road. Is there anything wrong with the motor? any input will help.

At 70MPH, you should get 17, 18, even high as 19...during the summer months and while running Diesel #2. 15 MPG is fine during the winter months when the colder states typically sell blended Diesel fuel to prevent winter-time gelling of the fuel. I rarely see 16's during the winter.

What outside temperatures are you experiencing this mileage at?

BTW, welcome to the club!!!

Welcome to the club as well Yevgeniy

The numbers are as Eric speaks,my numbers drop 2-3 MPG during the winter even tho my diesel supplier "claims" their fuel is straight number #2 otherwise at 70 MPH non-towing on open flat freeway we'll do 18-21+ at best from April thru November..

A Performance Programmer like an Edge Evolution or Superchips Micrtuner may benefit better MPG's as well as performance

The tem outside is about 40 F and I do have superchip programmer, it really messes up the overhead console (it'sshowing 27 mpg whe I get only 15) I run the superchip at per-tow setting and feel the power, however didn't notice any pmg increase.

Oh yeah Yevgeniy, never count on the overhead mileage, temperature console to save your life!
I recommend hand calculating your mileage always
