OK heres the deal I am wanting the 2.5 Inch Lift for my 2001 X I have a 7.3L PowerStroke Diesel Limited. I am just about 17 so am kinda workin witha budget... I want 35's but am not sure if they will fit I was thinkin after I got the lift i'd go down to a local tire shop and see if I could check sum out! But i was wonderin if anyone has ever seen an X wih just a 2.5 inch kit and 35's or it just alll 33's? I was thinkin about maybe 295/75/16 BFG's or Nitto Grappler's not sure! i was to use the stock rims for now but will upgrade in the future!! Any tips on lifting this hting or about how much it will cost and good tire sizes would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks Don

Don to do 35's you will need a 4 in minimum lift. (depending on the tires you may get rub on full lock)
Look at my gallery you can see my truck with a 4in procomp lift with 315x75x16 (35's)
pm me if you need more information.
Is yours 4x4 or 2wd it makes a difference.

If you are going to do a 2.5" lift on a 4WD, 315's will work. THETURKS running that set up with no problems and using 16x8 wheels. On a 2WD, you will need to do a 6" lift if you want 315's-Fabtech has a great kit for the 2WD. I have the four inch (six inch parts on order as we speak) and I have 305's with absolutely no rubbing, and using an American Racing 16x8 rim.

I am running 305's for now. I do have F-350 springs on all four corners for now. I have the X codes(snowplow springs) up front with the 2" mini spring pack up front and Ford 4 in block and add a leaf in the rear. I have NO rubbing what so ever. 35's will fit but will rub on the mud flaps and the inner most wheel well plastic. My front bumper is spaced out from the front hidden hitch so your bumper might have to be spaced out a little too.
I will be removing all off the mentioned springs in the next couple of weeks for Superlift 5 inch lifted rear springs and NO block in the rear and Superlifts new 10 leaf soft ride 4 inch "superduty" lifted springs in the front. They will give me 6 inches lift over the stock X and about 1 inch more lift than I have now. I then will go with 35's on either 16's or 18's.
I will be looking into Super duty air bags for towing too.

Dgar
The 2.5 will give you more lift if its rated for a superduty. The X has dearched springs and will get more lift from a super duty designed lift. If you go that route take before and after pics and measurements. I did that and they are in my gallery.
Also my 33-12.50's DO NOT look stock or close to it. I think I have some pics of those also.
