I'm new to the forums and just wanted to say Hi. I've already learned quite a bit about the Excursion by reading as much as a can here but I have a couple of questions:

I just purchased a 2000 V10 Limited 4x4 from a friend of mine, it's be lifted quite a bit, but he does not know how much as he bought it lifted already. I took some (lousy) photos, and I was hoping, someone could tell me how much it was lifted. It's got 315x75x16s, which measure about 33 1/2 inches, and the front an back wheel wells are about 45 1/4 to 45 1/2 inches from the ground. Anyone know how much lift was done to get it to these heights. I know it's over 7' to the roof as I can't get it in car washes or parking garages, lol.

I've also read quite a bit about gas mileage, and I have noticed if i keep it below 2k rpms it's much better say 10 - 11 mpg, but if I drive "normally" I get about 8 to 9. I noticed many people here are getting much better mileage, but is 8 - 9 about what I should expect.

Here are a few pics:

P.S. Any X owners in Houston, pm me if you know of any X clubs or get togethers, etc.

Welcome to the club!

Sorry, no answers from me on lifts, but someone else will be able to help you for sure.

Your pics didn't show up...can you repost? You can try posting them in your registry entries you created...the pics will definitely work when embedded in a forum post.

Here's a quick pic-posting tutorial for SuperMotors registry entries: http://www.supermotors.org/faq/post_pictures.php

Thanks for the welcome, and for letting me know you can't see my pics.

Hopefully this link will work:

Welcome to the site....

Truck looks good. I would say the truck is about 6 inches higher than stock. To know for sure I would need pics of the rear block and the front spring at the axle.

Welcome to the forums- truck looks great. I agree with Birdman on the lift. With 315's and if the truck is 4wd, it could have gotten a 3.5" lift like the Fabtech hanger kit or any other numerous possibilities. If your measurements are from the ground to to the fender well mouldings, you may even have a six ich lft. Post some pics of the underside with shock and spring detail and I am sure someone here can give you more info about than you ever thought possible!
