Front Rotor Warp

Anybody have problems with front rotor warp? 2 weeks after I bought my used X it started to shake quite a bit from rotor warp. I had all 4 brakes done, both front rotors turned. It was good for about a month, then came back. I've put a few thousand on it with the warped rotors simply becuase I don't know if doing them again will fix the problem. Would I have been better off replacing them rather than turning them?

The general consensus is that you need to have your lug nuts on each wheel tightend to 165 ft-lbs with a torque wrench, NOT with an impact wrench. When the dealership rotates tires, they typically use an impact wrench for speed and don't pull out the torque wrench for precision. Insist that they do, or when you get home, use your own torque wrench to ensure they are properly tightened.

The OEM rotors still do leave a little to be desired in terms of braking. There are aftermarket rotors available. Check out the installation of Applied Rotor Technology (ART) rotors at this link:
