Was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with lift kit located in the below listed link. As it states; it is similar to Fab-Tech. I was just curious due to the huge price difference to accomplish the same thing ? . I’m usually not one to be cheap on an item like this for safety reasons, but one does have to wonder . If the kit they’re selling is one the X shown, I think it looks very well, nice stance . Thanks all.

I think the main difference here is that you're paying significantly less because it's a fabrication shop doing their own hangers. You won't have the brand name associated with it, but you may also not have any significant testing behind it either...other than they installed it on one of their own vehicles and it "worked fine." I would think a Fab-Tech would do a significant amount of testing on a hanger setup before bringing it to market because their brand name depends on it and their legal people probably require them to do so. Purely speculation on my part, however.
It's hard to say without seeing either of the two in person, side-by-side.
How much do the Fab-Tech hanger kits run?

Fab-Tech is running between $800 - $1075.00 depending on retailer and/or shock configuration. That is probably where the $ come in, the shocks that come with the kits. |
