hello all,
Im new to this forum so bare with me please. The wife gave me permission to lift my X(i know im being set up ), but im hearing horror stories from some people about drive line problems and tearing up my tranny or gears( 3:73s i think). I planning on a fabtech 5.5 all springs, and 325/65/18 nitto terra grapplers. Is this a descent set up or am i off with the tire combo. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the club. I have a 00 X and it had a 5.5 Fabtech lift, full leaf springs, dual front shock and dual steering stabilizer, on 35" BFG AT. When the truck had the lift it tracked beautifully and rode quite well for the set up it had. The only problem I had was axle wrap and it eventually caused the front seal on the rear end to need to be replaced. Other than that it was a great lift and tire combo. Hope that helps. |

Sorry Marc, I should have explained my verbage. Let me know if you have any other questions. I really think the fabtech is a great lift, I do wish I had 37's on it to fill the wheel wells a bit more on an asthetic note. |

Thanks for the replies, and i have another question. Will 37s fit and look better with 5.5 lift? I dont want to get too small, and definately not too big.
Thanks again. |

I had 35's and they looked great, check my profile. 37's, I think would have looked a little better, but may have been a little too big for my wife, who drove the X daily. |
