I know there are other threads re: this matter, but mine is more of a creative idea question. I already have an in dash flip out 7 in. screen. The third seat has a dual screen mobile dvd set up for the kids. My question is this....has anyone utilized the dual cup holder on the rear of the console to install an LCD screen. I have the rca jacks and power already ran to the console, but do not quite have an idea of how to integrate another screen for the 2nd row. I do not want the overhead set up. |

That is not what I expected, but it is definately better that I expected. Is that a whole new unit or fabricated into the oem? Where did you get that? |

It is a panel that replaces the cupholder section of current console. I can't help with locating one, this one was installed by previous owner. I bought truck at dealer auction and had no contact with him. I would say print picture and take to a installation shop and ask around. They should be able to find one.Sorry I can't help more.

Thanks for at least the idea. I was thinking more of something that would mount in the place of the cup holders, but at this point that may be my best option. It really looks good in your X, very clean in appearance. |

Our kids couldn't without em on the roadtrips

Since it's not often we go on long trips with my step-son, we got one of those portable DVD players that hang from a front seat. We can toss it in either the Excursion or the Explorer. I must agree with Eric in how convenient those two cupholders are ... is where I keep my cans of spray de-icer. |

I took a compact DVD/MP3/CD player and hung two 7.2" LCD screens from the front seats for the kids on the roadtrips, special events, etc.
The cupholders are also used for portable two way radios when working hot air balloon events.
